Passports

A passport valid for the length of stay in Croatia is required by all nationals referred to in the chart above, apart from (1) EU nationals who can enter Croatia using a valid ID card. EU nationals are only required to produce evidence of their EU nationality and identity in order to be admitted to any EU member state. This evidence can take the form of a valid national passport or national identity card. Either is acceptable. They are not required to show possession of a return ticket, a certain length of validity on their document or sufficient funds for the length of their proposed visit.


Visas

A visa is not required by the nationals referred to in the chart above for stays of up to 90 days. Nationals not referred to in the chart are advised to contact the embassy to check visa requirements.


Visa Note

Visitors to Croatia must be able to produce evidence of return/onward travel (except EU nationals) and evidence of sufficient funds for the duration of their stay.


Schengen Visas

Croatia is not yet a member of the Schengen area, but allows holders of Schengen visas to enter the country without the need for an additional visa.


Types of Visa and Cost

Short-stay visa: Euro60.


Validity

Short-stay visas are valid for one, two or multiple entries and are valid for up to three months within a six-month period.

Temporary Residence

Nationals of some EU countries (including the UK) are restricted by transitional arrangements and require a permit to work in Croatia. Contact your local Croatian Embassy or Consulate for further information.


Working Days Required

Applications for visas for Croatia are accepted no more than three months in advance of travel, and take five working days to process.


Entry With Pets

Pets must have an identifying microchip, rabies vaccination certificate and valid international or EU pet passport.
